Over the past 18 months, Recovery Force has shifted its focus on the population impacted by addiction that it will serve, transitioning from providing recovery support to adults to providing prevention support to children. "Without post-treatment recovery coaching , our ability to provide support for adults has been limited. At the same time, the need for prevention support for children reached critical levels" stated Bob Catalano, Recovery Force Board President.  "This made the decision easy, we now focus on preventing children from becoming adults with a condition for which recovery support is essentially non-existent".

The advances made through the national Addiction Policy Forum and the the National Association for Children of Addiction over the past years are now finding their way to our community through this pivot in our primary focus. We have begun this very exciting introduction of state of the art practices. Recovery Force has already begun being a part of the lives of kids growing up in Atlantic City, having hosted 2 events at Brown's Park already and planning the 3rd with residents to take place in the summer.
